Last chance to vote for Roche’s Inside the Peloton at Irish Book Awards

Cycling fans who want to vote for Nicolas Roche’s biography Inside the Peloton at the Irish Book Awards have until this Sunday to do so with public voting counting for 50 per cent of the voting marks.

Roche's riveting biography hit the shelves a couple of months ago earning rave reviews before being shortlisted for the Irish Sports Book of the Year Award as part of the Irish Book Awards.

The son of legendary Giro d’Italia, Tour de Fance and World Champion Stephen Roche, Nicolas had to fight to make it as a professional and even harder to make his mark as his own man.a

His rise up the ranks has been meteoric, with top 15 finishes in both the Tour de France and the Vuelta á Espana in 2010. Although illness and crashes stalled his upward trajectory this season, his attitude to his chosen profession has remained undimmed.
