Three years after becoming the youngest ever rider to win a Rás stage Sam Bennett now believes that he has what it takes to achieve overall victory in the eight-day event for his An Post Sean Kelly team.
Donegal man Ronan McLaughlin is hoping to make his mark on home ground when the An Post Sean Kelly team returns to Ireland to defend its Rás crown in three months time.
Nicolas Roche put in a solid performance in today's final stage time trial at the Volta ao Algarve finishing the 25.8km stage in 29th place which was enough to seal 14th place overall in his first stage race of the year.
Nicolas Roche maintained his 11th place overall at the Volta ao Algarve after another strong performance on the penultimate stage of the race which took in 186.3 kilometres from Vilamoura to Tavira.
